Overview

Petar Tomasevic

Chairman

Petar is the Managing Director of Vert Capital Pty Ltd, a Perth-based financial services firm specialising in future metals, mineral acquisition and asset implementation.  Mr Tomasevic is fluent in 5 languages and, as a professional athlete, was a part of France’s 2016 Olympic Team in Rio de Janeiro. ​

Mr. Tomasevic was most recently a Director at Fenix Resources Ltd (ASX: FEX) which, under his guidance, advanced into a full-production premium iron ore producer.  Petar was also deeply involved in the restructuring and RTO financing of FEX’s acclaimed Iron Ridge project. ​

Petar is currently serving as Non-Executive Director of GTI Energy Ltd  (ASX: GTR) and Regenerate Resources Ltd (ASX: R8R). His reputation as a hands-on mining executive, across multiple geographies, is widely recognised across Australia’s mining industry.​

Marnus Bothma

Managing Director

Marnus is a certified geologist and corporate executive with recent, relevant expertise in managing early exploration of high-value mining assets through to production. He has executed several successful technical mining programs around the world from Australia and Asia to North America.

Notably, he was the founding Director and CEO of Peak Iron Mines, a privately owned iron ore miner with operations in South Australia exporting through Whyalla and beyond.​

Mr. Bothma also served as Non-Executive Director on the Board of ASX listed Chase Mining Ltd.  Marnus’ technical domain expertise is highly sought after across Australia’s mining industry. ​

David Andrews

Non-Executive Director

David offers EBM a wellspring of global capital markets expertise.  He recently retired as an Executive Director at ABN AMRO Bank N.V. where he served over 20 years as a trusted fiduciary — mainly building out a top-ranked, Fixed-Income trading operation and Investment Banking Division.

Mr. Andrews has since become a prominent mining industry venture capitalist (and mentor) assembling an impressive portfolio of new exploration projects and tech-driven mining companies focused on future metals and emerging markets assets.

James Longley

Non-Executive Director

James brings to EBM nearly three decades in corporate leadership and fiduciary responsibility at high-growth potential resources firms. Currently, James is a Co-founder, Director, CFO and acting CEO of Plutus PowerGen Plc – an energy technology company listed on London’s AIM.

A veteran Chartered Accountant, Mr. Longley has focused his finance career on venture capital, private equity and building growth companies.

James began his journey at Arthur Andersen before Creditanstalt-Bankverein Merchant Banking and Touche Ross Corporate Finance.

Charles Tatnall

Non-Executive Director

Charles is a seasoned financier and serial entrepreneur from England.

He currently serves as the Executive Chairman of Plutus PowerGen Plc. Mr. Tatnall’s prior track record includes founding and leading no less than 6 successful resources firms, among them: Caracal Gold Plc (CEO); Stranger Holdings Plc (Chairman); Fandango Holdings Plc (Chairman); Bioprogress Technology Ltd. (Principal);  Stranger Holdings Plc. (CEO); Maceworth Ltd (Director) and others.

Charles remains an active venture capitalist in many growth-stage firms focusing on strategic resources and sustainable energy.

René Harlacher

Non-Executive Director

René brings to EBM a wealth of professional management consulting experience, particularly, around enterprise operational management where governance, ethics and sustainability matter most – all core values at EBM.

His experience in implementing best practices and managing enterprise risk span almost two decades, most recently as Zurich Insurance’s Chief Underwriting Officer & Member of the Executive Committee and, before that, he held similar roles at AXA Winterthur.

Mr. Harlacher also currently serves actively at the Board level of several other Swiss based financial firms, including Orion Insurance, Autosense, Zurich Services, et al. Rene has also led projects in M&A, technology transformation, innovation and corporate development.

A multilingual professional, his sterling academic credentials include The University of Zurich where he graduated magna cum laude in Computer Science, as well as business degrees at Buelrain College of Economics and IMD Switzerland.
